Dr. Hai Nguyen brings with him 12 years of clinical experience as he joins the team at Jasper Avenue Dental.

He graduated in 1996 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degrees with Distinction.  Finishing in the top 3 of his class, he received the American Academy of Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit, the Teledyne Water Pik Canada Pursuit of Excellence Award in Prosthodontics upon graduation.

As a dental student, he received the Farquarson Research Scholarship for Summer Student Research and presented at the American Academy for Dental Research and Canadian Academy for Dental Research while maintaining excellent academic standing to be on the Dean’s Honor List for First Class Standing Academic Achievement.

Upon graduation, he underwent an extra year of training at the University of Alberta Hospital’s General Practice Residency. 

Since the beginning of his private practice career, he has served as part-time Clinical Instructor at the U of A Dental School in various disciplines such as Removable Prosthodontics, Restorative Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry.  Casually, he also work with the NAIT Dental Assisting Program.

Dr. Nguyen and his business partner recently purchased the dental practice from the now retired Dr. Gayle Mabey. He is excited to continue providing excellent, personalized dental care to new and existing patients of Jasper Avenue Dental.

He is happily married with two children and enjoys photography and classical music in his spare time.
